Before we adopted Kara, our new Border Collie/Chocolate Lab mix puppy, we were delaying erecting a fence, however, with the new puppy, the fence project moved into priority #1. The unfinished retaining wall was placed on hold. The Stafford Wolf Pack was in need of an open space where they could hunt birds, bees and squirrels.
Established in 2005, Zoey considered herself a bit of a loner. She tended to think of herself as a one-dog wolf pack. But when Kathy and I brought Dot home in 2010, Zoey knew Dot was one of her own and her wolf pack… it grew by one. So there… there were two dogs in the wolf pack… Zoey was alone first in the pack, and then Dot joined in later. Three years later, Bettis was introduced to the wolf pack and four years after that, on May 26th, 2017, Kara joined the pack. Zoey thought, “Wait a second, could it be?” And then she knew for sure, she had gradually grown her pack to four badass ‘wolves’. All four wolves run wild in the Stafford House, intimidating the humans for treats and always on the search for more kibble and bits… (Heavily modified quote from the Hangover).
